Prayer Shawl Ministry
In 2005, Yadkin Baptist Church started a "prayer shawl ministry" with Mrs. Winkler and Mrs. German as our instructors. Since that time, our group of ladies have learned to knit and crochet and have presented 408 prayer shawls or lap throws. They were given to those who were seriously ill, bereaved, homebound or nursing home residents. As each prayer shawl or lap throw was completed, we prayed for each situation asking God to bless, bring comfort, give peace, healing and/or strength to the person to whom it was given.
